Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Five Cubes, Inc. in Richmond, VA.
Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients, including administering medications and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Screen patients for sick call and provide first aid and basic life support as needed.
- Maintain open lines of communication with security and treatment staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Interface with other departments as needed to ensure continuity of care.
- Promote continued competence through education and certification, with a focus on correctional nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid unrestricted Virginia LPN license or multi-state compact license.
- Demonstrated ability to screen complaints of physical ailments and refer necessary cases to other medical professionals.
- Experience in carrying out provider's orders in applying treatments.
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or client (ARC).
