We are seeking an experienced Operations Support Specialist to join our team at Lincoln IT in New York City. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time position involves working as a Hospital Telephone Operator, responsible for receiving, directing, and placing internal and external calls to office staff. You will also be responsible for initiating page calls through paging local and long-range page systems to contact medical staff.

A key aspect of this role is responding to emergency calls, such as medical emergencies, fire emergencies, bomb threats, active shooter situations, and other disasters. You must be able to document all emergencies for reporting to the Emergency Preparedness Committee.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be responsible for entering schedules through the computerized Spok system for use by evening, night, and weekend staff, transferring information to the website for use by all hospital medical employees, and learning medical terminology for various on-call schedules after hours.

To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma and a college degree, excellent customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent phone and computer skills. Knowledge of Spok Systems and experience working in a hospital setting are also highly valued.
