Position Summary and Requirements

Role Overview: Responsible for delivering and assisting with fundamental life support patient care. Takes charge of the operation and upkeep of emergency response vehicles.

Qualifications Needed:

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure Required: North Carolina EMT certification, valid North Carolina driver's license, and compliance with insurance standards. Must complete and maintain continuing education or recertification as mandated by NC OEMS. A valid NC driver's license is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment unless commuting from out of state. Candidates should have at least two years of satisfactory driving experience and be a minimum of 21 years old to meet insurance criteria.

Preferred Experience: A minimum of two years of full-time active pre-hospital care or equivalent experience, along with emergency vehicle operation.
