Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in the San Fernando Valley area. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, teaching and nurturing behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills. You will follow treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and work closely with our clinical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to children with autism.
  • Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs and work closely with the clinical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Relay information on client progress to BCBAs and assist with BCBA assessments.
  • Accurately record client behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system, Central Reach.
  • Responsible for clocking in, submitting session notes, and clocking out to align with strict ABA and insurance provider regulations.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Assist with client care, including lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing.
  • Participate in projects and tasks as directed by Site Directors and Clinical Supervisors.
  • Communicate effectively with families and maintain professional boundaries.
Requirements
  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday, with part-time shifts available.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/CBT certification preferred, with a commitment to obtaining certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Previous experience in child care, teaching, counseling, or babysitting is preferred.
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run, without reasonable accommodations.
  • Previous training in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work with computers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
