Job Description
This occupational therapy internship provides students with hands-on experience working under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Students will have the opportunity to develop their skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation, as well as collaborate with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with client assessments and treatment plans
- Implement evidence-based interventions under the supervision of a licensed therapist
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Requirements
To be considered for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in an occupational therapy program and have completed coursework in human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. A strong commitment to serving individuals with diverse abilities and excellent communication skills are essential.
