Pediatric Occupational Therapy Specialist

Apex Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapy Specialist to join our team. This rewarding role will involve working with children of all ages, providing high-quality occupational therapy services that cater to their individual needs and goals.
Salary: $78-$80 per hour
Responsibilities- Design and implement personalized occupational therapy plans for children based on their unique needs and abilities.
- Work closely with families to empower them with problem-solving skills, enabling them to maintain their child's home and school routines effectively.
- Help families adapt to their child's disability, promoting self-esteem within the family and community.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource, answering questions about occupational therapy and its applications in pediatric care.
- Provide independent documentation of pediatric occupational therapy services and clinical assessments using professional terminology.
- Maintain a safe and motivating environment during therapy sessions, utilizing proper equipment as needed.
- Foster a supportive relationship with children, encouraging active participation in their own treatment.
- Communicate effectively with other professionals involved in patient care, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Possession of a NYC Occupational Therapy License or pending certification is mandatory.
- This role involves working in multiple locations, with up to 25% travel required.
- A flexible schedule allows for work-life balance.
- The primary focus of this position is pediatrics.
- This role caters to adolescents, children, and requires occasional travel.
- The standard working hours are Monday to Friday.
- In-person interactions are essential for this role.
- An Occupational Therapy License is a requirement for this position.
