Reports To: Associate Executive Director for External Relations
GENERAL OVERVIEW: Under the guidance of the Associate Executive Director for External Relations, the Community Engagement Specialist will oversee outreach initiatives directed at community organizations and educational institutions, as well as implement tailored programming for diverse audiences at the Lone Tree Arts Center, a versatile venue featuring a 500-seat proscenium theater, a 200-seat black box theater, and a 350-seat outdoor amphitheater.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outreach and Community Involvement
- Develop and nurture partnerships with community organizations and educational institutions to enhance revenue generation and ticket sales.
- Identify potential target demographics for specialized community impact initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing and box office teams to produce cohesive messaging and promotional materials for community impact programming.
- Work alongside marketing staff to devise strategies aimed at engaging constituents in community impact initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison with community organizations interested in the activities of the Lone Tree Arts Center.
- Coordinate unique opportunities for groups to participate in sensory-inclusive programming, including outreach to community organizations and service providers.
- Represent the Lone Tree Arts Center at community gatherings, including setting up and managing information booths at resource fairs.
Programming Coordination
- Collaborate with technical, programming, and box office staff to organize programming for special groups, including but not limited to senior populations, schools with high percentages of students eligible for free and reduced lunch, and visiting artist workshops and residencies.
- Ensure a seamless experience for all groups visiting the Lone Tree Arts Center, from initial contact through day-of hosting and post-program follow-up.
- Partner with the Executive Director to implement innovative programs aimed at reaching specific community groups.
- Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of Lone Tree Arts Center programs.
- Manage special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a non-profit, municipal, or similar organization. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. Previous experience in community outreach or engagement initiatives is highly desirable.
