Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing laboratory tests and analyzing results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA '88 in an accurate and timely manner with supervision.
  • Assist with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory.
  • Perform testing in an accurate and timely manner according to established policies and performance standards.
  • Exercise independent judgment and identify appropriate resources in performance of assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
  • Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
  • Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
Working Conditions

Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. Use material handling equipment to push/pull up to 75 pounds and required to lift, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds.

Requires manual dexterity. Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids, chemical, electrical and biological hazards.
