Clinical Laboratory Technician Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Tucson Medical Center. As a Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Responsibilities:
* Process and analyze patient specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease
* Perform testing under the guidance of a medical technologist
* Meet expected turnaround time for test results
* Recognize abnormal or unusual test results and determine course of action following predetermined criteria prior to reporting results
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and other equipment
* Document and communicate technical and general information to appropriate individuals
Requirements:
* Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
* Internship as a Medical Laboratory Technician, or equivalent experience in a clinical laboratory setting
* Registered or registry eligible for MLT by ASCP, HEW, or AMT
