Collaboration:
The Brand and Media Assistant will work closely with the Creative Coordinator.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional in the Marketing and Communications field to fill the role of Brand and Media Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in implementing marketing and communication strategies, managing administrative tasks related to marketing expenses, supporting special events, conducting research in the media sector, and maintaining our marketing and media contact databases. The role also encompasses analyzing social media performance and organizing our in-house photography and videography resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations & Research (25%): Conduct research to discover new media opportunities and trends, maintain updated media contact lists, and build relationships with both local and national media.
- Asset Management (20%): Organize and oversee a library of in-house photography and videography assets, coordinating with content creators as needed.
- Administrative & Billing Tasks (20%): Manage billing and administrative duties related to marketing activities, track expenses, assist with budget oversight, and report on merchandise inventory and sales.
- Event Support (20%): Assist in the planning and execution of special events, including logistics coordination and promotional activities.
- Marketing & Communications Support (15%): Help develop and implement marketing campaigns, draft and edit content for various platforms, manage social media accounts, and integrate mentee experiences into branding initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Background in youth engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, mass communication, public relations, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with youth or nonprofit organizations is preferred.
Job Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in capturing and editing video and photography content.
- Ability to analyze data and apply marketing expertise creatively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
