We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our team at ASRC Federal Holding Company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop systems in a team-oriented environment
  • Develop and integrate information sharing applications and services
  • Plan and coordinate cross-domain implementation activities
  • Deploy solutions to DISA Core Data Centers
  • Troubleshoot and debug operational issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Seven years or more of work experience in a relevant technical role
  • Security+ and/or CISSP Certification
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems and scripting languages
  • Experience with VMware, VSphere, or other virtualization technologies
  • Exposure to software and system testing/QA
  • Experience maintaining information systems configuration management
  • Desire to learn cross-domain solutions and ability to lead installations of hardware and software
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to independently learn proprietary applications
  • Proactive problem-solving and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Experience creating system documentation in Visio, Excel, and Word
  • Experience interfacing with external stakeholders and performing integration efforts
