Job Summary

The Bakery Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bakery, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled bakers and sales staff
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members
    • Ensure that staff members are following company policies and procedures
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality ingredients and supplies
    • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for improvements
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met
    • Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bakery, including production, sales, and customer service

Requirements

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, hospitality) preferred
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a bakery or food service industry
    • Proven track record of success in managing staff, inventory, and customer service
  • Skills
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements
