Facilities Operations Coordinator

Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate and prioritize all incoming facility maintenance requests and assess repairs as needed.
- General Maintenance: Perform a variety of routine and semi-skilled tasks such as general maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Contract Management: Responsible for contracting, planning, scheduling, and monitoring the building maintenance functions for the cooperative.
- Maintenance Assessments: Conduct maintenance assessments across all campuses; track metrics and documents for continuous improvement assessments.
- Vendor Management: Provide input, coordination, and inspection of the job performance of outside contractors and vendors.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and make routine repairs such as minor plumbing and/or electrical-related repairs.
- Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency and/or after-hours facility repairs and provide timely, effective communication to management on repair progress.
- Process Improvement: Assist with process mapping and data collection for optimal standardization of facility equipment.
- Guidance and Support: Provide guidance on improving preventive maintenance.
- Education and Experience: High school graduate with 10 or more years of facilities' maintenance experience. A two-year technical degree with five years of experience preferred in HVAC and electrical, or a combination of relevant experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Ability to obtain HVAC certification within a specified time frame. Knowledge of HVAC systems, General Contracting, National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and electric utility safety rules and regulations.
- Transportation: Valid North Carolina Driver's License with good driving record.
- Work Schedule: Normal hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F. Subject to call-out for facilities' emergencies at all hours and in all weather conditions.
- Travel Requirements: This position reports to our Statesville location, but travel is required between company locations.
- Relocation: Position requires that the employee lives or is willing to relocate within one of the nineteen counties served by the Cooperative or within 40 miles to any EnergyUnited EMC office.
