LPN Employee Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Employee Health team at Shore Medical Center. As an LPN in Employee Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify health history of employees, gathering pertinent health data.
- Perform drug testing, administer PPDs, flu shots, and Fit testing.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines, maintaining confidentiality policies.
- Document interventions, patient responses, medications dispensed/administered, and test results in medical records.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician and allied health professional advice/instructions.
- Promptly and courteously handle patient telephone inquiries regarding medical information, following practice triage protocols.
- Maintain medical supply levels in exam rooms, ordering supplies/medication as needed.
- Function according to delegated authority and follow practice policies/procedures.
- Represent Employee Health Services on committees, effectively communicating to small groups.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform position responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner.
- Valid New Jersey State LPN license.
- BLS Certification.
- Ability to perform dosage calculations and basic laboratory procedures.
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Understanding of infectious disease management and control, as well as safety standards.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions, as well as documentation standards.
- Ability to endure daily standing, squatting, walking, bending, and maneuvering, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
