We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Universal Health Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and directing all Performance Improvement functions through the Medical Executive Committee.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in foods, nutrition, dietetics or food service administration, and one to two years of experience in dietetics. A registered clinical dietitian license in Kentucky is also required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining hospital policies and procedures, and will work closely with the hospital management and Medical Director to develop and maintain the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct all Performance Improvement functions through the Medical Executive Committee
- Develop and maintain hospital policies and procedures
- Work closely with hospital management and Medical Director to develop and maintain the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital
- Recommends and develops hospital policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in foods, nutrition, dietetics or food service administration
- One to two years of experience in dietetics
- Registered clinical dietitian license in Kentucky
- Knowledge of employee relations, food sanitation, safety and food labor laws, housekeeping procedures and food service techniques
- Must know basic principles of nutrition as related to menu planning
- Must have knowledge of diet therapy as well as interviewing, counseling and group teaching techniques
- Written and oral communication skills
- Skills in time management
- Crisis intervention
- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology
- Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential
