Advanced Practice Provider in Critical Care

Position Overview:
An esteemed Level 1 Trauma Center is actively seeking a proficient Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) specializing in Critical Care and Mechanical Circulatory Support to enhance its dedicated team.
Role Responsibilities:
The selected individual will work exclusively in an inpatient environment, utilizing their expertise in critical care, Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS), and mechanical circulatory support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing patient care within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Trauma, and Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
- Providing comprehensive care for patients requiring ECLS and Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) across a 58-bed ICU.
- Exhibiting proficiency in handling patients needing Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), ventricular assist devices (VADs), and other mechanical circulatory support technologies.
- Mentoring nursing staff, residents, fellows, and other Advanced Practice Providers, sharing knowledge on critical care principles and ECLS management.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and clinical outcomes.
- Contributing to research projects and evidence-based practice efforts within the organization.
- Utilizing Epic EMR for accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, along with current state licensure and certification as an Advanced Practice Provider. Board certification in Acute Care, Critical Care, or a relevant specialty is also required.
Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in critical care, particularly focusing on ECLS and mechanical circulatory support.
Compensation and Benefits:
The recruitment package may include a competitive base salary, CME/CEU allowance, sign-on bonus, medical debt assistance, relocation support, paid malpractice coverage, health benefits, retirement plan, and assistance with marketing and practice growth.
