The ideal candidate will have a robust background in critical care, Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS), and mechanical circulatory support, with experience managing patients in various intensive care settings, including Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Trauma, and Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to delivering exceptional care to patients requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Work a schedule of 14 shifts per month, with 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a).
  • Manage up to 12 patients per shift, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care across the 58-bed ICU.
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate patient responses to therapies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing patients requiring Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), ventricular assist devices (VADs), and other mechanical circulatory support systems.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, residents, fellows, and other Advanced Practice Providers, sharing knowledge on critical care principles and ECLS management.
  • Facilitate educational sessions and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and optimizing clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in research projects and evidence-based practice initiatives within the organization.
