Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our facilities services team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance services, ensuring the completion of assigned work order projects, and performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repair on all utility systems
  • Support construction/renovation project installations as assigned
  • Perform general plumbing functions, including installing plumbing systems and replacing water closets
  • Work efficiently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Project a positive and professional image of self and the hospital
Requirements
  • High school graduate or recognized equivalent plus formal trade/vocational school training or five (5) years related experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a millwright, steamfitter, plumber, HVAC, or tradesman in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare setting
  • Working knowledge of computer skills, Microsoft Outlook, Building Management Systems, and modern Nurse Call systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and prepare material takeoffs
Work Environment and Hazards

Industrial setting: Clinical setting occasionally. Exposure Class I. Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions. Intermittent to regular exposure to unpleasant physical conditions, including but not limited to: high temperatures and general outdoor seasonal weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
