Chief Technology Officer - A Key Role at Embrace Pet Insurance

Embrace Pet Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology development and implementation efforts. As the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology development and implementation to enhance both our customer-facing and internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's direct-to-consumer business objectives.
  • Platform Development: Lead the development and enhancement of internal and customer-facing platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels, to optimize the insurance buying journey and internal operations.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to improve customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall business performance.
  • Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and integration of technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement robust security measures to protect customer data and privacy.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree: In Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in technology leadership roles within the InsureTech or FinTech industry, with a focus on direct-to-consumer selling.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business models and customer acquisition strategies within the insurance industry. Expertise in developing and scaling customer-facing digital platforms, with proficiency in web development, mobile applications, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Cloud technologies: Experience working with cloud-based technologies and infrastructure, preferably AWS or Azure.
  • Regulatory requirements: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the insurance industry.
