Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a skilled professional responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including analyzing bodily fluids and tissues
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by a recognized agency (e.g. ASCP) is recommended but not required
  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred
Working Conditions

The Medical Laboratory Technician will work in a laboratory setting, exposed to various chemicals, reagents, and specimens. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using manual dexterity to perform laboratory procedures.
