Medical Laboratory Technician

The Medical Laboratory Technician is a skilled professional responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role involves analyzing bodily fluids, tissues, and other specimens, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze bodily fluids, tissues, and other specimens to assist in diagnosing and treating patients
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including preparing reports and maintaining accurate records
- Communicate effectively with patients, family, staff, and physicians to provide exceptional customer service
- Use laboratory computer programs and type at least 25 WPM
- Lift, position, push, pull, and/or transfer up to and greater than 50 pounds
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by a recognized agency (e.g. ASCP) is recommended but not required
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
