Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Trade Coordinator to join our team at FedEx Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide impeccable customer service and work closely with internal staff, departments, and customers to deliver a high level of service.
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from various sources, including databases, SOPs, tariff books, and the internet.
  • Data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including handling PGA's (participating Government Agencies).
  • Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
  • Process agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings.
  • Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • No industry experience required, but a minimum of 6 months of work experience is preferred.
  • Data entry/keyboard experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Location: This role will be based in the office at 3885 Airways Blvd in Memphis.
