Job Title: Process Engineer

Midland Recruiters is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our production processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with manufacturing departments to identify opportunities for process improvements, resulting in increased productivity, reduced setup times, and enhanced overall efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for changes to production processes, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption.
  • Work closely with subsidiary manufacturing departments to implement suggested improvements and production procedures.
  • Assist in the launch of new and/or different production projects, ensuring successful execution and timely completion.
  • Specify new equipment and upgrade requirements in conjunction with the maintenance team and third-party vendors.
  • Conduct process development for new products through production-scale trials, ensuring optimal results.
  • Commission new lines and equipment, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Work with related departments to develop and implement work instructions and routines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve safety, reliability, and efficiency challenges facing production and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate plant requirements.
  • Effective communication and support skills, with the ability to interact with multiple departments, including R&D, sales, production, and production personnel.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and information.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Polymer, or Industrial Engineering, with 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Desirable educational experiences include technology of plastics compounding and extruding, familiarity with Word and Excel, experience with electrical and mechanical systems, CAD skills, working knowledge of Safety and Environmental laws, and statistical data analysis.
