Job Title: Staff of Nursing

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff of Nursing to join our team at NYU Langone Health.

Job Summary:

The Staff of Nursing will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care to patients based on established NYU Langone Health Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
  • Formulate the initial plan of care with the provider and collaborate with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care.
  • Collect patient healthcare data systematically and analyze it to determine diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients and families to facilitate and promote healthy adjustment to new or changed health patterns.
  • Support the missions, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of the institution, Departments of Nursing, and service line.
  • Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
Requirements:

To qualify for this role, you must have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, with a Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing requiring a minimum of one year of experience in conjunction with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree. Emergency room or critical care nursing experience and membership in pertinent professional organizations are preferred.
