Job Description

**Electrical Design Engineer - Car Wash Systems**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Tommy Car Wash Systems. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our car wash equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Circuit Design: Design and develop electrical circuits for car wash control systems, including pumps, blowers, solenoids, push buttons, e-stops, photo eyes, pressure sensors, and other components.
  • Establish and Maintain Controls System Standards: Establish, document, and maintain controls system standards, including drawing templates, AutoCAD blocks, startup procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Produce Drawings and Documentation: Produce drawings of control panels and field wiring diagrams, as well as create documentation checklists, issue communication, and quality-related support bulletins.
  • Support Control Panel Building Operations: Support control panel building operations as the conduit for engineering knowledge and requirements.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including duties and responsibilities that may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of professional work experience in electrical design or a related field.
  • Skills: Experience with CAD schematic design using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, MS Visio, or similar packages; fluent in AutoCAD Electrical; industrial control panel design; UL experience; process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a warehouse environment. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse/assembly tools and functions. This role operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions.
  • Able to move about inside the office to access standard office equipment, etc.
  • Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange information.
  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers.
  • Drive between company locations as needed while on the job.
  • Frequently stand and work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking.
  • Tolerate vibrating tools and louder than normal work environment at times.
  • Frequently stand and walk for the majority of each shift.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
