Job Summary

Tesla is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our service operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of parts to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parts Sourcing and Allocation: Source parts from distribution centers and other service center locations, and allocate them to vehicle service appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels within the parts system, communicate parts updates and availability with relevant team members, and ensure that all parts are properly documented and tracked.
  • Appointment Preparation: Review upcoming appointments and ensure that all necessary parts are prepared and documented in our system. Prepare internal orders for shipment to other service center locations as needed.
  • Warranty and Returns: Process and return warranty part shipments for quality assurance, including handling hazardous materials and high-voltage batteries.
  • Stock Management: Systematically receive, inspect, and put away stock and special-order parts, ensuring that all parts are properly stored and organized.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Escalate parts issues from internal or external suppliers in collaboration with the Regional Parts Manager, acting as a point of contact to vendors and providing constructive feedback to contribute to future improvements.
  • Parts Transportation: Pick up and transport parts using a van or forklift, engaging third parties when necessary.
Requirements
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to thrive in a team-based environment and achieve common goals, effectively handling multiple priorities, organizing workload, and meeting deadlines.
  • Language and Technical Skills: Able to communicate, read, and write effectively in the English language on all levels, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Physical Demands: Valid driver's license required and ability to obtain appropriate state licensing, where applicable. Ability to perform repetitious duties, including regularly lifting up to 25 lbs., sitting, bending, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Visual Requirements: Specific vision abilities required, including the ability to identify parts, operate systems, and identify potential safety hazards in the parts department.
