Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer/Technical Bridge Lead to enhance our engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis, design, and preparation of comprehensive plans for both steel and concrete bridges, along with anchored retaining walls. A strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic studies pertinent to bridge engineering is essential, as well as a solid grasp of highway and geotechnical engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bridge-related tasks and foster relationships with regulatory bodies
  • Lead the bridge design team on designated projects
  • Manage structural responsibilities including scope definition, budget management, and quality control
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure objectives are achieved within specified timelines and financial constraints
  • Engage in design processes and collaborate with project personnel, subconsultants, and clients
  • Contribute to proposal creation and deliver presentations
  • Mentor junior engineers in bridge design and actively participate in professional organizations

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory
  • At least 15 years of experience in bridge analysis and design
  • Proven leadership and effective communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years managing bridge and structural design teams
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) or PennDOT design standards
  • Expertise in AASHTO LRFD and LFD Bridge Design Specifications
  • Experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • Capable of drafting project proposals and letters of interest
