Radiology Imaging Specialist

The Radiology Technologist PRN Rotate MTB performs complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. This role requires professional judgment in providing healthcare services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. The Radiology Technologist is multi-skilled in the use of various procedures and equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate degree
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license. Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, in Radiography or registry eligible. Must have ARRT within one year post graduation of accredited school.
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

This role produces high-quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma; assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.

Required: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program

Certifications:
Required: ARRT or registry eligible; must have ARRT within one year post graduation; AHA BLS, state license if required
