About the Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our agile-factory team at Reckitt. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving project efficiency and innovation, managing a team of exceptional engineers, and leading the charge in our manufacturing success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze production and facilities operations/issues, perform necessary engineering design and layout, prepare cost estimates, and make recommendations to meet specific project needs.
  • Prepare Capital Asset Requests for new or modified packaging, process, or facility equipment and systems.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and select equipment and system components necessary to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare work specifications and negotiate contracts for work to be performed by outside contractors. Coordinate/direct work of outside contractors to insure quality completion of project and adherence to all applicable codes, regulations, and policies.
  • Coordinate the installation and start-up of new equipment with operations, contractors, and vendors.
  • Provide engineering support to operations teams. Attend team meetings to facilitate communications, problem solving, and follow-up.
  • Remain current with latest innovations in equipment and components through industry literature, demonstrations, exhibitions, and vendor contact.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement by evaluation of existing operations in light of new technology, team needs, and cost/benefit opportunities
Requirements
  • B.S. Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical). 1-3 years previous experience in High Speed Packaging Equipment OR Chemical Batch Processing Operations in Consumer Products
  • Working Knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software.
  • Working Knowledge of Motor Controls, Sensors, Basic Electrical Power Distribution, and PLC Capabilities.
  • Excellent Organizational and Follow-up Skills.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Project Assignments Concurrently.
  • Project Management Skills including Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting, Purchasing, Design and Layout, and Selection/Supervision of Contractors.
  • Good Communication and Presentation Skills.
  • Able to Work Effectively in Team Environment. Committed to Continuous Learning.
