Distribution Supervisor

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Grainger. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our distribution center, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Monitor and analyze production, safety, quality, cycle time, financial, and other important data to understand the performance of the team.
- Provide coaching and training to team members to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Support distribution center-wide projects and ensure that all deliverables are completed on time.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of previous leadership or supervisor experience in a high-volume, multi-shift, order fulfillment distribution center.
- Lift 60+ lbs. may be needed.
- Self-motivated, curious, analytical, and data mining skills.
- Demonstrate and able to teach and develop direct reports.
- Strong time management skills to plan shift.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel (can perform complex functions).
