Job Title: Drainage Engineer

Parsons Corporation is seeking a skilled Drainage Engineer to join our team in Centreville, Virginia. As a key member of our Water Resources and Drainage Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing drainage systems for transportation and related infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze drainage systems for transportation and related infrastructure projects
  • Perform hydrology and hydraulics analysis
  • Develop stormwater management and green infrastructure designs
  • Conduct bridge scour analysis and erosion and sediment control design and permitting
  • Model rivers and watersheds
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in drainage design, water resources engineering, and related functions
  • Proficiency in MicroStation
  • Knowledge of Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements
  • Active involvement in professional organizations
  • EIT required for entry-level and/or Professional Engineering Certification for more experienced engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with software used in water resources engineering design, including MicroStation, GEOPAK, INROADS, and OpenRoads
  • Knowledge of HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • ArcMAP/GIS a plus
