POSITION OVERVIEW

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an Inmate Records Coordinator, you will engage in foundational technical tasks related to the establishment, upkeep, and preservation of inmate criminal history and identification records. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the collection, assessment, and verification of inmate documentation.
  • Gathering information from diverse sources to fulfill information requests.
  • Compiling data and drafting correspondence, reports, and various documents.
  • Maintaining current inmate records and processing transfer documentation.
  • Conducting inmate photography and fingerprinting, as well as performing sentence calculations.

Your initial duties will be conducted under the close guidance of a Records Supervisor, with a gradual increase in autonomy as you become familiar with established procedures. Your work will be evaluated for compliance with organizational policies and protocols through regular reviews and assessments.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
  • Standard work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Compensation: The starting salary may be fixed, with new hires beginning at an annual salary of $39, before taxes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training:

  • Two years of clerical or correctional experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of basic training is mandatory.
  • Compliance with residency requirements is necessary.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is required.

  • Successful completion of a background investigation is essential.
