Process Engineer

Job Description:

Actalent is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to create precise models using CATIA V5. The ideal candidate will work closely with the New Model team to translate layout ideas into detailed technical drawings, contributing to the manufacturing of world-class vehicles. The successful candidate will present information effectively through meetings and production floor walks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts, create production equipment 3D models, and support areas within the manufacturing shop.
  • Manage and coordinate layout with various teams (internal/external) during project planning, launch, and execution.
  • Use CAD software to generate accurate 3D models in accordance with project specifications and factory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the New Model team to understand project objectives and translate design concepts into technical models.
  • Revise and update existing 3D models as needed to incorporate process design changes or improvements.
  • Participate in internal/external meetings to optimize manufacturing processes and efficiency.
  • Maintain organized records of all CAD models, ensuring version control and accessibility.
  • Utilize CATIA V5 for the majority of the design/drafting work.


Requirements:

CATIA V5 experience
Process layout studies experience
Automated Equipment experience

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Marysville, Ohio and some days remote. The successful candidate will work in a R&D environment but also be responsible for entering the plants.
