As a Patient Transporter with Compass Group Careers, you will play a vital role in facilitating the smooth transition of patients within our healthcare facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their designated destinations in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation of Patients: Safely and efficiently transport patients to their desired locations, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process.
- Equipment Management: Properly use and maintain wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, and reception and dispatch staff to ensure seamless patient transportation.
- Patient Comfort: Ensure the comfort and modesty of patients during transportation, offering blankets and engaging in appropriate conversation when necessary.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure patient safety.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to federal, state, and JCAHO regulations, as well as facility confidentiality and patient's rights policies.
- Previous Experience: Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and patients as needed.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Competitive Pay: $17.00 per hour.
