Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Vascular Tech to join our team at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular procedures and general diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including vascular studies, to identify and diagnose various medical conditions.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures, such as biopsies and cyst aspirations, as needed.
  • Train and mentor new employees to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including examination results and medical histories.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Problem-solve and adapt to changing situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure timely and accurate examination results.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain and improve departmental standards.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited course in ultrasound technology.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in vascular sonography.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in vascular and pediatric ultrasound.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Florida general radiology technologist license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
