About the Role:

Markforged is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our additive manufacturing platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud providers, especially AWS portfolio products, and a strong background in scripting languages like Bash or Python. You will be responsible for supporting the Software team's development platforms, including technologies like Kubernetes, CICD, Terraform, and Docker, as well as services like AWS, CircleCI, NPMJS, GitHub, Snyk, and Harness.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Software team's development platforms
  • Permissions management
  • Acting as SRE for production environments
  • Acting as SME for cloud technologies
  • Acting as SME for broader Internet technologies
  • Evaluating and prioritizing security threats
  • AWS cost management
  • Identifying cost hot spots
  • Planning and implementing specific cost-savings strategies
  • Manage and prioritize DevOps backlog
  • Support customer escalations

Requirements:

  • 5+ year experience building and shipping high quality code with strong CS fundamentals
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Extensive experience with cloud providers, especially AWS portfolio products
  • Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python
  • Comfort working with Monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Cloudwatch, or Cloudtrail
  • Know your way around a UNIX shell
  • Experience with writing and supporting Javascript
  • Have excellent verbal & written English communication
