Our ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field, with at least 2 years of field experience and applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), specifically related to telecommunications projects.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Project Archaeologist to lead our cultural resource management efforts in the Florida/Southeast Region. This full-time role involves conducting SHPO file reviews, unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys, construction monitoring, and cultural resource report writing/production. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough SHPO file reviews for above and below ground cultural resources
- Perform unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys, identifying potential cultural resource impacts
- Provide construction monitoring and coordination with project stakeholders
- Write and produce high-quality cultural resource reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Master's degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field
- SOI Qualified
- Experience holding and fulfilling antiquities permits
- Ability to conduct fieldwork, including travel to project sites (average 2 days per week)
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in software applications relevant to the role
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy
Trileaf offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance. Additionally, employees enjoy 401(k) matching, three weeks of paid time off, eight paid holidays, and a floating holiday.
