Core Responsibilities

  • Ensures a consistently excellent customer experience at the service counter by managing various transactional needs, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding products and services, fulfilling basic service requests such as issuing new cards, updating information, and resolving common issues.
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, staying informed about their banking needs and preferences.
  • Educates clients on consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile and online services designed to simplify their banking experience.
  • Collaborates with branch team members to assist in resolving customer issues effectively.
  • May conduct outbound calls to educate customers about new technologies and assist in fulfilling their financial requirements.
  • Refers customers to specialized teams for more complex financial needs.
  • Adheres to all banking regulations and internal policies, ensuring sound banking practices and reporting any operational risks.
  • Aims to meet branch performance targets by identifying customer needs and offering suitable solutions.

This role requires tracking hours worked beyond the standard 40-hour workweek and is eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to work on Saturdays as necessary.
  • Proficient in cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Effective communication skills for in-person, phone, and electronic interactions.
  • Competent in using computers regularly, including typing and maintaining focus on a monitor.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.

Preferred Experience

  • At least one year of experience in banking, cash handling, or customer service.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ability to assist customers with digital banking tools.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience overseeing cash transactions.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
