El Monte Sagrado is seeking a skilled Food Preparation Assistant to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food for our guests.


Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of our Executive Chef or Sous Chef to prepare and cook menu items.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations, as well as safety standards.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in collaboration with other kitchen team members.
  • Ensure that food is presented in a timely and high-quality manner.

Requirements
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification is required.

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen environment is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training is required.
