Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Optical Sales Lead to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for leading the achievement of optical goals and key performance indicators, motivating others, and driving total shop performance and productivity. You'll also be responsible for creating exemplary customer experiences, providing developmental feedback to employees, and leading daily store operations and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the achievement of optical goals and key performance indicators through elevating the optical customer journey in close partnership with the Shop Manager.
  • Motivate others and drive total shop performance and productivity through consistently offering positive feedback and reinforcement.
  • Influence and champion internal optical talent development through leading optical training in partnership with the Shop Manager.
  • Create exemplary customer experiences through effective floor supervision and leading others by example.
  • Provide developmental feedback to employees in partnership with the Shop Manager.
  • Lead daily store operations and activities in the absence of or in partnership with the Shop Manager, including opening and closing of the shop.
  • Foster an inclusive team environment by treating others with respect and empathy.
Requirements:
  • ABO-certification (and state optician licensure in states requiring a license); valid, unexpired certification must be provided as a condition of hire and continued employment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of retail sales experience within a specialty, fashion, or customer-centric environment.
  • 6+ months of retail management experience.
  • Optical dispensing experience and knowledge of current optical theory and practices.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
