Job Title: Tax Preparer Assistant - Franchise Location

At H&R Block, we're looking for a skilled Tax Preparer Assistant to join our team. As a Tax Preparer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional client service and ensuring accurate tax preparation.

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our tax professionals in preparing individual, trust, and partnership returns. Your expertise in accounting, finance, and bookkeeping will be invaluable in helping our clients navigate complex tax situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools
  • Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
  • Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
  • Provide clients with IRS support
  • Mentor and support teammates
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
  • Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax
  • Experience completing individual returns
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working with virtual tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing
