Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an Acute Care RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside in our State Supported Living Centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, care, and treat individuals with complex medical needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor vital signs, weight, diet, and feedings, and report any concerns to the Nurse Manager
  • Participate in facility quality assurance/quality improvement initiatives and respond to emergency situations
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
  • Experience in acute care nursing, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
