Senior Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Quality Manager to join our team at Global Systems Technologies in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO17025 standards.
About the Role:
This challenging role involves providing daily oversight of all aspects of the QMS, reviewing laboratory data/reports, and providing timely results to Government representatives. You will also be responsible for coordinating participation in external accreditation and proficiency test programs, reporting results, and identifying, documenting, and reporting any non-conformances to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Oversight: Ensure the QMS is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO17025 standards.
- Quality Review: Review laboratory data/reports and provide timely results to Government representatives.
- External Accreditation: Coordinate participation in external accreditation and proficiency test programs, report results, and identify areas for improvement.
- Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify, document, and report any non-conformances to management.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science related field, along with 3-5 years of recent related laboratory work experience in a certified public health or environmental laboratory. Additionally, you should have 2 years of demonstrated quality management, leadership, and decision-making experience, as well as extensive knowledge of quality management systems and quality improvement tools and techniques such as Six Sigma or Lean.
Benefits:
As a valued member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary of $95,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, section 125 flexible spending accounts, disability insurance, and a 401K plan. You will also be eligible for tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
