Anesthesiology Clinical Educator

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for a Clinical Educator role within the Department of Anesthesiology. This position is a tenure-ineligible appointment aimed at providing advanced clinical, technical, and research training in various anesthesia specialties.
Training OpportunitiesThis one-year post-graduate program offers a unique chance to enhance your skills in areas such as education, neuroanesthesia, regional anesthesia, or quality improvement in anesthesia practices. The training will take place in a leading academic environment, with clinical responsibilities consisting of:
- One or two days per week dedicated to general anesthesia.
- Three to four days focused on specialized training in your chosen area.
Additional time will be allocated for research activities and participation in relevant conferences.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a highly regarded health system, recognized for its excellence in patient care and clinical training. The department manages a substantial volume of cases across multiple anesthetic locations, including main operating rooms and specialized surgical centers.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree and have completed a residency in Anesthesiology. Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology or eligibility for certification is required.
