Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scanning Operator I to join our team at Canon U.S.A., Inc. As a Scanning Operator I, you will be responsible for operating scanning equipment, including Ricoh, Kodak, Canon, and Minolta, to complete various projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare projects for document scanning, electronic conversion, indexing, and stamping
  • Check specifications on the request form for accuracy, quality, and time requirements
  • Quality check production and output to the client's specified delivery media, such as single-page or multipage TIFF, OCR, PDF, email, CD, DVD, or load files
  • Duplicate and label DVDs and CDs using the labeling format specified by the client within the requested timeframes
  • Complete blowback requests per client requirements accurately and efficiently within the specified time requirements
  • Maintain scanner quality, including cleaning the lens and reporting mechanical failures
  • Log in/out boxes for scanning and record objective and bibliographic information as it appears on documents
  • Create barcodes for documents and follow document preparation procedures
  • Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and prepare billing charges

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 year experience working in a mailroom or professional office environment
  • Knowledge of metering, weighting, logging, and other shipping procedures
  • Some computer skills preferred
  • Ability to perform routine functions of various equipment and systems, including fax, scanner, metering, stamping, tracking systems, photocopying, and color copying
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude, and appearance are a must
