Position Overview

The MRI and CT Imaging Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position is integral to the operations of a prominent healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The Imaging Technologist will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to ensure a safe and efficient imaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be responsible for:

  • Understanding and adhering to the professional scope of practice as defined by relevant regulations.
  • Completing the orientation process, demonstrating the necessary skills and competencies for effective performance.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Providing patient care services that support the practice of physicians and other licensed staff under the supervision of radiologists.
  • Preparing patients for MRI and CT examinations, conveying instructions from radiologists, and documenting patient information accurately.
  • Performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Possibly working in other imaging modalities, as required, with appropriate licensure.
  • Being flexible to work at various locations as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current licensure by the State of California in CRT.
  • Certification in MRAD:CA; RTR or RTMR; BLS-CPR.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to imaging, along with proficiency in operating radiology diagnostic equipment and understanding radiation safety protocols.
  • Ability to impact patient relationships and outcomes positively, while managing clinic resources effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience as an MRI/CT Technologist is preferred.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting is advantageous.
  • Advanced certification in MR & CT through ARRT is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic practice management systems, including PACS, is a plus.
