About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cover Delivery Driver to join our Supply Chain team at Staples, Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of office supplies to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a variety of route assignments to cover for vacations and absences, ensuring that customer needs are met and deadlines are met.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving problems and accepting product returns as required.
  • Transport products safely and deliver office supplies on assigned routes to customers, loading vehicles as needed.
  • Organize and load product for delivery, utilizing manifests to ensure the most efficient delivery route and schedule.
  • Ensure safe work practices and foster a safety culture, identifying and reporting any safety concerns.
  • Act as a problem solver for customers, providing support and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license with a safe driving history, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Basic English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs, push and pull items weighing up to 400lbs, and occasionally maneuver up to 130lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 1 year of truck driving experience or comparable driving experience.
