Job Title: CDL A Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL A Driver to join our team at Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions. As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a manual transmission truck to deliver goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a manual transmission truck to deliver goods to customers
  • Load and unload truck as needed
  • Drive truck to destination
  • Distribute receipts for load picked up
  • Occasionally collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges
  • Maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations
  • Maintain telephone and / or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
  • Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit

Requirements:

  • Current and active Class A Driver's license with good driving record
  • No license restrictions. Must be able to operate manual transmission
  • Prior delivery driver and manual unloading experience
  • Proficient in reading and writing English
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year
  • Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills'
