About the Role
Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist PRN to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiography studies, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, to diagnose cardiac conditions.
- Transport patients to and from the echocardiography lab, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, including ultrasound machines and related devices, to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care and achieve positive outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in echocardiography or a related field.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
