Hospice Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Care Assistant to join our team at Hospice of Darke County. As a Hospice Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and support to patients in their homes, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services
- Assist with patient care activities, such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Document patient care and progress
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of 75 hours of state-approved aide training
- Current registration on the Ohio Aide Registry
- Minimum of one year of experience providing personal care in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
